Election Reflection
- My overall thoughts about the election in general is that it was very intense and very unpredictable. I was up all night watching the election, I was tired but I wanted to stay up because the election was so intense. Both beliefs and thoughts were very different between the two candidates, and throughout the entire run, the candidates were at each other's throats most of the time. When running for a president, some things might be said about the other candidate. That's just the way it is. All in all, the election was very intense and intriguing, although I have to say I didn't like the way it ended.
- My thoughts about the election is I didn't like the way it ended. It really had me thinking about the society, and how many people actually were rooting for someone to be our leader who has said what he said and done what he's done. I'm not trying to be bias, but come on. Really? Someone like Donald Trump is not fit to be our president, he is the bias one here. What he saying not only about women, but about every race, religion, culture, etc, proves that he is not fit to be our leader. That especially proves that if he is our leader, he isn't going to be the leader of all of us, he will be a leader to one group. One race. One religion. He is bias, and not the one destined to be our president, unless that is, if he changes his point go view on things, opens up his little eyes, and sees that this country is a diverse one. He can't come in and change that. I know I can't change what happened and who won, but I have a say in it so I'm gonna say it.
- Watching the election, hearing about it days after, and hearing about the race for president, it really did make me kind of want to get into politics. I want to, but I wouldn't know where to start. Considering the fact that I'm still young, and don't understand much about politics I, out of all people, really wouldn't understand or even begin to be able to understand where to begin with politics. Maybe in the future I might get into it, but for now I'm just gonna stick to the sidelines and just watch the show.
- I, myself, am not voting in the next election. I was born in 2003, meaning in 2020 I will be 17 not 18, making it illegal for me to vote. In 2024, though (if I live that long) I will vote, and that's what I'll be excited for. Although, I wish I could vote in the next election, I know I can't change the year I was born in. Hopefully though the candidate I want to win will actually win that year. Overall, this election was intense but the ending was not what I hoped for.
