This is the Enemy

      My interpretation of what this piece of propaganda is trying to say is that, the enemy is not the Germans and it is the people who don't support them. They are trying to get people to think that they are the good people, and they want more people to be on their side. They are giving out, or spreading, false information trying to get people to think what they are doing is okay. Clearly, they are just trying to make themselves out to be the good guys, and not the people who are torturing others for being different. The audience is probably anyone who doesn't support or believe what they are doing is right. The audience could also be their supporters, and they are just sending a message to people who don't support and the people who do support. The creator of this piece of propaganda was reaching out to people who don't believe and people who do believe, to spread the word out even more.
      How it's trying to alter ones perspective is that it is saying "We, the Germans, are the good ones. We are the ones doing the right thing. Not the Jews." Someone who might not have control of why's they should or shouldn't believe, like a child, might see this. If a child does see this, they might think that the Jews are the bad ones in this situation, and the Germans are the good ones. It doesn't seem that effective, but it also depends on who the person is that's viewing it. For example, if someone is dry on the fact that Germans are the bad ones and Jews are the good ones, then it might not be as effective, but then again the message they are sending is very strong. They are going against what so many people believe it, and the mesasage is not only strong but it is terrible.
        In my opinion, because I can finally say it now, not only do I think this is a terrible thing, but I also think is isnt that effective. The only thing I saw when I saw this photo was hatred, pain, and suffering. Why? Because it's showing the fact that they have tortured so many Jews with no purpose whatsoever. They have hurt so many families, killed so many innocent people, all for being different. When you look at the United States, all you see is diversity. Diversity is what makes up everything,
and for them to come in and kill others for being different is one of the worst things in the world to me. Murder in general is bad, but the reason of being different for this mass murder is unacceptable. This photo to me, is not effective at all.

     The title of this blog, is one of my favorite quotes. Once I read it, I sat down and just took a minute to analyze it. I knew from the moment I read it, that I would really relate to it. There are moments in everyone's life, where they question whether to do something or not. I know I do. For me, I'm more of a shy person, so I don't take the risk. Yet, I always wonder what would have happened if I had actually taken that risk. I will always regret not taking the risks in the past, because what if it could have changed my life in a completely different way? You see, taking a risk is something you should always do. If it is something you might be so scared of, take a moment, and look at the pros and cons. That's what I do. In the end, I always look at the cons even though there might have been more pros. I always find a way or a reason on NOT to do something, don't be like me. If I learned to take a risk, so should you.

Beginning of the End

     Over the past three years, I've really grown fond of heritage. Of course sometimes I hate having to wake up and go to school, but who doesn't? In the end, I'm grateful for all the opportunities heritage has given me. It's the beginning of May, meaning my middle school years are almost over. Part of me can't be more excited for the next chapter of my life. Then again, another part of me is more scared than ever to move onto the next part of my life. I'm basically one step closer to being out there in the world all by myself. I can't wait for that, and I want that to happen. I also kind of want to stay a kid forever though. Perseverance

      Now that we have summit, school has been so much harder. These focus areas piling on top of each other, it's like never ending. Summit has been very tough because, #1, I'm still getting used to the whole new platform, and #2, these focus areas need time and thought put into them, and it takes more than a day or two to get most of them done. I persevered because this is my education, and even though it is hard I'm not going to just give up. Of course I needed patience though, because to be able to have go preserve through something like this, you do need patience to get it done and tolerance to failure as well, because failure with this is not uncommon.      Some traits Nick Vujicic has is self-confidence, courage, and of course perseverance.
